Style Background
Maibocks are medium to full-bodied higher gravity lagers whose alcohol content can vary widely though is typically between 5-6%ABV. MaiBocks are light straw to deep gold in color and are characterized by a sweet malty palate and subtle hop character. They are traditionally released in the Spring in Germany to celebrate the changing of the seasons.

Beer History Since Matt did his foreign study in Germany, we celebrate each season with the release of a new German beer. Mai Bock and Hefeweizen herald Spring, Pilsner comes out in the summer, Oktoberfest marks the fall fest season, and the Dopplebock arrives every year in time for Rene's birthday on December 1.

And yes, we realize that Uskratch is not a German word. It's a joke - Uskratch Mai Bock - get it?
