February 10 - Ladies and Gentleman - The Fabulous Stains
Corrine Burns retreats far into plans for her band, The Fabulous Stains, after her mother's death. So far that she gets them (she and two cousins) on a tour with a washed-out glam-rock group and a rising British punk band, radically changes her appearance, attracts a cult following and national media attention. With luck like this, what could go wrong?

The perfect tasting to shake off the winter chill! For this special tasting, we'll pull together two dozen of our favorite high-octane brews sure to warm your heart and lift your spirits. We'll start with old ales and barleywines and round out the list with a smattering of Double IPAs, scotch ales, and a handful of belgian styles. Tastings run 7-9 PM. Feb 12-14 is Beer Lover's Weekend at ABC! To celebrate, we're brewing up a commorative beer and a unique beer themed menu to serve all weeekend!

Lovers of craft beer, world music and winter fun won’t want to miss the first annual Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival taking place under huge heated tents on the The Clubhouse grounds at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa.

The TC Winter Microbrew & Music Festival will kick off the Cherry Capital Winter WonderFest, a weekend-long festival scheduled for February 12-14 featuring three days of activities at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, downtown Traverse City and Mt. Holiday Ski & Recreation Area.

Join some of Ann Arbor's finest local restaurants to help with earthquake relief efforts in Haiti on Thursday, February 18th, and Friday, February 19th.
The recipient organization will be Partners in Health, an organization that has been providing the highest quality medical care possible to Haitians for over 20 years. Not only are they committed to helping Haiti get through this immediate crisis, they are dedicated to helping Haiti build back stronger.

Take the progressive chili challenge! For $5 you can taste and judge a variety of chili made around depot down. $5 gets you a tasting kit and map of all chili stops. Challenge starts at Cafe Luwak and ends at Corner Brewery. Its a great way to explore Depot Town, taste some local grub and raise funds for SOS Community Services, which provides critical services to homeless families and children throughout Washtenaw County.

Another Chili Ride in Ypsi is a fun and free event brought to you by Wheeles in Motion!  This ride, beginning and ending in Depot Town, Ypsilanti, will take place in concert with the Depot Town Chili Challenge: a charity event to benefit the S.O.S. Community Services.  Riders will be gathering at the Corner Brewery to warm up with happy hour priced beers!  Sure to be a great day of biking, eating, and drinking.  Details at the Wheels in Motion website.

Once again, Arbor Brewing Company will be providing bus service to and from the Brewers Guild Winter Beer Festival in Grand Rapids. The festival is Saturday, February 27 from noon to 5 pm. Enthusiast hour will be from 11-12. The bus will depart Corner Brewery at 8:00 and will depart Arbor Brewing Company at 8:30. Departure times are firm so come early! We will provide coffee, donuts and bagels at each location for all passengers as well as beer on the bus. The bus will depart for the return trip at 5:30. Bus Tickets are $40 (early bird tickets $35 through Jan 31. Festival tickets sold separately and are available at Corner or ABC or through the MI Brewers Guild website.

Join us for a special release party featuring several stouts we'll be serving up for St Patrick's Day!  As always the release party is from 6-8.  It is a casual meet and greet with Rene and Matt and the brew team along with mug club members from both Arbor and Corner.  Beer samples and light appetizers included.  $10 for the general public and free for mug club members.

March 10 -Magical Mystery Tour
The story follows a bus load of eccentric characters on a magic journey through the English countryside. Rather than a unified narrative, it becomes a series of psychedelic clips promoting various songs including "The Fool on the Hill," "Blue Jay Way," "Your Mother Should Know," "I Am the Walrus" and "Magical Mystery Tour." The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band are seen in a strip club playing "Death Cab for Cutie."

The stout tasting was the first tasting we ever held back in 1997. And it is a dark beer lovers dream come true! We hand-pick 25-30 of our favorite stouts - irish stouts, milk stouts, chocolate stouts, coffee stouts, russian imperial stouts, and some Belgian and experimental stouts when we can get our hands on them. Midwest Rabbit Rescue’s fourth annual "Hops for Hope: An Easter Benefit" will take place from 1 pm to 5 pm. Tickets include a beer-tasting from 2 pm to 4 pm, chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, organic fair-trade coffee, and a vegetarian appetizer buffet. We will be featuring the www.makeminechocolate.com campaign, which seeks to "break the cycle of acquisition and relinquishment by educating the public about the responsibilities involved in keeping a companion rabbit before a rabbit is brought home." This year we've sought out chocolate from small, independent chocolatiers, as well as from big, well-known companies, and the result has been an amazing and eclectic mix of organic, fair-trade, and hand-made chocolates!
